FEATURE BOAT -PISTON BROKE68ft 8in Darren Aldridge /Colecraft Engineering cruiser. Beta JD3 diesel. Bow thruster. Starting life at 62ft and known as Iron Butterfly, Piston Broke was purchased by her present owners in 2007, and as her previous owners wanted to keep the name for their new boat they re-named her. From the onset she has been their residential floating home in which they have cruised extensively whilst making on-going improvements. At the end of 2010 they had her lengthened to almost 69ft and shortened the aft deck to enable them to replace the engine with a slow running, powerful, Beta JD3 tug engine. 4 berths: 2 permanent singles, L-shaped dinette double; shower, Thetford cassette wc; solid fuel stove, compact diesel central heating; gas cooking, 12V fridge/freezer, washer; 2.5kW pure sine wave inverter, 3.5kW engine driven generator. 2005.
