RCD paperwork shows that the hull was completed in 2012 by J D Narrowboats at Shardlow. However she was not launched until 2016 when the fit out by Aurora Narrowboats who were based in Chesterfield, was finished. Lucy Kate is in a REVERSE layout style, featuring a forward master bedroom with full size double bed. The bed is removable should you wish to revert back to installing a cross bed to allow access to the bow doors. A walk-through shower room is equipped with a composting wc, quadrant shower and a corner vanity unit. The mid-ships walk-through galley has gas cooking, under counter fridge and a washing machine. Overnight accommodation for guests can be catered for on the L-shape dinette whilst a cosy saloon features comfy leather reclining chairs. Central heating is by Webasto diesel boiler with a solid fuel stove for additional warmth in the colder months. Hot water can be heated by engine, boiler and immersion. When away from the shore power, a 3kW Victron inverter/charger takes care of the 230V power supply. Lucy Kate was blacked in September 2023.
