Reading Marine have an enviable reputation for producing quality boats, much loved by their owners, and Longfellow is no exception to this with only two owners from new. She is built using oak throughout, in a traditional layout with a cosy forward saloon, L-shape dinette and aft bedroom. Having the dinette means that she can accommodate up to four people, but is very comfortable for two. The mid-ships bathroom has a shower over the bath and a pump out wc. Central heating is by gas boiler to fin radiators, controlled by a thermostat with additional warmth and ambience from the solid fuel stove. At just over 55 feet long, she is capable of travelling the whole of the canal and river system, with a 37.5hp Beta Marine diesel engine providing propulsion. An extra large sliding hatch allows you to accompany the helmsman at the stern. Longfellow is an uncomplicated vessel, with plenty of scope for upgrading systems onboard should you wish.
