Boating Associations
Inland Waterways Association
We campaign locally and nationally for the waterways – supporting restorations, lobbying parliament, championing regeneration and raising waterways users concerns. We’re also prone to rolling up our sleeves and giving the waterways a bit of TLC.
Our members are waterways-lovers from all walks of life who want to preserve and improve the network for future generations.
National Association of Boat Owners
The National Association of Boat Owners is dedicated to promoting the interests of private boaters on Britain’s canals and rivers and lakes. Volunteer members work with Navigation Authorities and public bodies so that boater’s voices and views can be heard when decisions and being made.
This can only take place if boaters are infomed, engaged and have the time to formulate policy and consider views. NABO has over 25 years experience and a strong track record of achievement.
The Royal Yachting Association
The Royal Yachting Association is the national body for dinghy, yacht and motor cruising, all forms of sail racing, RIBs and sports boats, windsurfing and personal watercraft and a leading representative for inland waterways cruising.
Residential Boat Owners’ Association
Established in 1963 the Residential Boat Owners’ Association is the only national organisation which exclusively represents and promotes the interests of people living on boats in the British Isles.
They represent all those who have chosen to make a boat their home.
