The Pearl is a beautifully crafted narrowboat from renowned shell builder Mike Christian, part of the esteemed Jonathan Wilson lineage. Her classic Josher style bow, enhanced with replica rivets, recessed panels, and a traditional stop beam, reflects timeless craftsmanship. Designed for residential living or extended independent cruising, she offers home comforts including a washing machine, eye-level oven & grill, hob, under-counter fridge, shower cubicle, washbasin, and cassette toilet. A Pullman dinette and sofa bed provide additional berths for guests onboard, and there is also a useful desk in the saloon. A Victron Multiplus 3kW inverter/120A charger supplies 230V power off-grid, supported by four cabin batteries and a 450W solar panel with MPPT controller. Warmth is provided by a Webasto diesel boiler feeding four radiators and a towel rail, along with a solid fuel stove in the saloon, while hot water comes from the engine, boiler, or immersion heater. Propulsion is by a trusty Beta B43 diesel engine, with a hydraulic PRM gearbox and a sophisticated Aquadrive coupling to reduce noise and vibration, ensuring a peaceful cruising experience.
