62ft Thomasina is a great example of a traditionally styled narrowboat with a high level of detail both inside and out. Solidly built with thicker than average plating, the bespoke Jonathan Wilson steelwork features elegant lines with a josher style bow and recessed side panels to name just a few. The 28hp Kromhout engine (similar to a Gardner 2LW) takes pride of place in the engine room with surrounding aluminium flooring making for easy cleaning. The engine room also houses the calorifier, washing machine, inverter and 24V charging systems. The rest of the interior cabin displays the great standard of Malcolm Edgells woodwork, the aft containing a traditional Boatmans cabin with Epping range and available double berth. Fitted using lots of solid oak, the interior is in immaculate condition throughout. Thomasina benefits from having no less than 5 opening roof hatches, as well as several prisms and a pigeon box set on the cabin roof, that are a great source of natural light. To keep the battery bank topped up when not running the engine, there is a large array of roof mounted adjustable solar panels fitted.
