At just over 40ft. Eileen Kate offers a quality shell from a highly respected volume builder. A compact and uncomplicated boat, she is ideally geared towards being a go anywhere boat, or as an ample sized retreat on the canals for up to four people. Inside the cabin, the fit out is in oak, which would benefit from some tlc to bring her back to her former glory, but of course this could be carried out whilst still enjoying what the British canals and rivers have to offer. Accommodation would suit a couple wanting a boat on which to enjoy holidays or extended cruising in the occasional company of two guests. The semi trad stern provides seating for the crew to accompany the steerer and has a tonneau cover for protection from the weather when not out cruising. Similarly the well deck also has a matching cover. Whilst not featuring all the latest modern equipment and technology, she may be all the better for it, with less to go wrong, although it should not prove too difficult to install a landline connection, a ring main and an inverter charger.
