Jonge Freerk is a historic 1903 Dutch Barge, originally named Martha. She was built by two brothers in Sneek in the Netherlands as a commercial sailing Skutsje. Around 1924 she was converted into a leisure barge and owned by a famous Dutch missionary, Father Freerk Kamma. She has nicely balanced lines, constructed of riveted iron and steel and a condition survey from May 2023 is available to read. Stepping onboard the large aft deck, which is covered by a removable canopy, steps lead down into the open plan living quarters, with the galley at the aft, making this a REVERSE LAYOUT boat. The 13ft saloon has a sofa bed which can be used for overnight accommodation and is fitted with a diesel stove (currently runs on Kerosene) for additional warmth to the gas central heating. Moving forwards, you will find a shower/wet room with cassette wc and the bedrooms, suitable for a permanent double and a permanent single bed. Jonge Freerk is in need of some modifications to bring her back to her former glory and this has been reflected in the price. She would make a very comfortable home for two people and she is at a size that could still utilise moorings within a marina.
