The lines and attention to detail are evident to this well proportioned shell from Charles Cox. The traditional feel continues internally with the use of pine tongue & groove boarding, and the scumbled finish to the engine room and Boatman s cabin. Here the traditional aft cabin layout houses a double bed in the bed box and a drop table and seating. Sitting in its own engine room is a 40hp Lister FR4M diesel engine. A mid-ships bathroom has a shower over the bath, washbasin and cassette wc. The forward saloon has built in seating which converts to a make-up double at night, along with a comfy reclining chair with matching footstool. A solid fuel stove heats a large bore pipe system by gravity, so no noisy pump or drain on the batteries, and for convenience, an instantaneous water heater supplies continuous hot water instead of the usual calorifier arrangement. Kadu Flyer has recently had the hull (including the bottom), grit blasted, hot zinc sprayed and coated with 2 pack epoxy.
