The term floating country cottage is often used to describe a narrowboat with a forward saloon and aft bedroom, and Swallow fits that description perfectly - stepping aboard feels like entering a cosy, country cottage. Built in 1999 by the well regarded Stoke on Trent Boat Builders, the fit out is custom, precise and durable. Designed to accommodate two, there is scope to change the seating in the saloon to create additional berths. The galley is equipped with a gas oven and grill, hob and under counter fridge. The off-corridor bathroom includes a shower over the bath, washbasin and cassette toilet. Independent 230V power can be provided via the Victron Multiplus 2kW inverter charger. To extend the cruising season, the cabin is heated by Webasto diesel blown air heating with outlets in the saloon, bedroom and bathroom, along with a cosy solid fuel stove. For convenience, an instantaneous water heater supplies continuous hot water instead of the usual calorifier arrangement. The boat has been well maintained by the owners and boasts gleaming paintwork and recent blacking. With an extensive inventory included, all you need to bring is your personal belongings, untie and go.
