Aldebaran is a characterful and well-proportioned narrowboat, her fine lines and craftsmanship a testament to the skill of builder Charlie Cox. Inside, the traditional charm continues with pine tongue and groove boarding, tastefully painted cabin sides, and a homely atmosphere enhanced by the thoughtful use of coloured paints and wallpaper. Designed in a traditional layout, you step onboard via the aft deck into the back cabin, with bench seating, storage and a cosy bioethanol stove. Forwards, a Kelvin K1 engine, reportedly the last ever fitted on a narrowboat, takes pride of place in its own dedicated engine room. The permanent double berth in the bedroom leads to a shower room, with shower cubicle, washbasin and composting toilet. The original pump-out fittings and tank remain should you prefer to reinstate this system. The galley features generous worktop space, a gas oven and grill, hob, and under counter fridge. At the fore, the inviting saloon offers a comfortable sofa and solid fuel stove, leading to a larger than average well deck with seating and a large table, ideal for summer entertaining, or additional storage in the winter months.
