Aethelflaed, pronounced Ethelfled and meaning Noble Beauty in Old English was built by AtoZ Marine to a professional standard. A compact yet versatile cruiser stern narrowboat, she is perfectly suited to exploring the smaller, more secluded waterways. Despite her modest size, she has the essentials for comfortable cruising. The fore features L-shape seating with a hinged table, converting easily to a double berth at night. A wet room is complete with cassette toilet, shower and fold down washbasin. The galley includes an oven and grill, hob (combined with the sink), and compact fridge, whilst opposite, a single Pulman dinette provides further seating, dining and sleeping options. The boat offers 230V power through a landline connection and Victron inverter, with a 100W solar panel trickle charging the cabin battery bank. The sociable cruiser stern has a folding pram hood to keep the aft deck dry during the inclement weather, while beneath the deck, the Barrus 20hp diesel engine delivers reliable propulsion. In recent months, the current owner has carried out several upgrades, including a new shower tray and toilet, new flooring, inverter and upholstery.
