Betsy is a 62ft 7in cruiser stern narrowboat built by Black Prince on a shell from Pro Build, both well-established names within the inland waterways sector. As a fomer hire boat, she benefits from a practical and adaptable layout, suited to a range of uses including extended cruising or liveaboard. A key feature of Betsy is her recently repainted superstructure, completed just prior to being brought to market. This work gives the boat a clean and refreshed external appearance and represents a notable benefit for a prospective purchaser. Interally, the layout differs from the typical aft cabin arrangement, instead offering a four-seater bench area which could be used as dining space or an office. Accommodation is for four people, with the layout arranged to allow access to the two shower rooms without disturbing others onboard. Propulsion is by a Canaline 42hp diesel engine, with PRM 150 hydraulic gearbox and fitted with an Aquadrive coupling to help reduce noise and vibration. Heating is provided by an Eberspacher diesel boiler to six radiators, with hot water heated by the engine and boiler. 230V power when not connected to the shore is by a 2kW inverter/70A charger.
