Mr Baggins was built in 2008 by the well-regarded Simon Piper and features a traditional layout, with the bedroom at the aft, galley mid-ships, and saloon at the fore. The interior is finished in contemporary ash-faced plywood with painted panels, giving a clean and practical living space with a generous 6ft 5in headroom. The 15ft saloon offers a comfy sofa, freestanding furniture and a breakfast bar area. The galley is equipped with LPG cooking facilities, a 12V Shoreline fridge, Corian worktops, and includes a washing machine. The shower room comprises a shower cubicle, pump-out toilet, and feature washbasin. Hot water is supplied via the engine, boiler, and immersion heater. Heating is provided by a diesel-fired central heating system feeding radiators and a towel rail, with a solid fuel stove offering additional warmth. Electrical systems include a 3kW Victron inverter/charger, supported by 830W of solar panels via a Victron MPPT controller. Under the social cruiser stern, propulsion is by a 43hp Beta Marine diesel engine with hydraulic PRM gearbox, and a bow thruster is fitted to assist manoeuvrability.
