Lindylou is a 44ft 10in semi-trad narrowboat, orignally purchased as a shell from ABC Boats (Boston) in 2020 and subsequently fitted out by her owner. She has been insulated throughout, including a thermal layer beneath the floor covering, and lined in painted plywood. Fitted with a Webasto diesel central heating system, Lindylou is reported to be exceptionally warm in the winter months. A 12V electrical circuit is installed with LED lighting along the headlining, alongside a 230V circuit with sockets and USB charging points. The forward cabin features a long laminated worktop along the port side, currently configured as a functional workspace. Lindylou has primarily been used as a floating workshop, initially for producing PPE during the pandemic, and more recently, for crafting goods. Well suited as a butty or dedicated workspace on the water, she also offers the option to fit an outboard engine should you need to move her independently. Should a purchaser wish to complete the fit out, such as installing an engine, gas and water system, or other onboard systems, they are advised to seek guidance on compliance and any required re-certification from the UK Approved Body.
